The app stores the following only on your device (using Android’s local storage):

• Viewing history: Which words you have viewed and the dates you viewed them (e.g. word identifier and date). This is used only to show your “History” list inside the app.

This data:

• Is stored only in the app’s local storage on your device
• Is not sent to us or to any other company
• Is not used to identify you or any person
• Can be removed by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app

We do not collect:

• Name, email, or other contact details
• Location
• Photos, contacts, or files
• Any data from children beyond what is stored locally as above

Text-to-speech (pronunciation)

The “speaker” feature uses your device’s built-in text-to-speech (TTS). The word is sent only to the TTS engine on your device. We do not receive or store what you play, and the app does not send speech or text to the internet for this feature.

Children

Daily Word is aimed at children learning English with Tamil support. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The only data used is the local viewing history on the device, as described above. Parents or guardians can clear this at any time by clearing the app’s data in device settings.

Third parties

The app uses:

• Google Play services (e.g. for installing and updating the app), subject to Google’s privacy policy.
• Device storage (SharedPreferences) for history; no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs are used in the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. For significant changes, we may notify you via the app or the store listing where possible.
